Privacy Policy
Sidequest MG keeps game scores and settings on your device and uses Google Mobile Ads for occasional interstitial ads. The game has no publisher account system and does not use a separate analytics service. Google processes limited device and usage data to deliver, measure and protect ads. Every ad request is marked for teen treatment, so personalized advertising and remarketing are disabled.
Who this policy is from
Sidequest MG is a collection of four arcade games published by Original Arcade Lab. This policy covers the Android and iOS versions of the app, identified in the stores as com.originalarcadelab.sidequestmg.
Information processed for advertising and support
We do not ask for your name, date of birth, phone number or account, and we do not receive your local scores or settings. The Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares the following categories with Google for ad delivery, measurement, diagnostics and fraud prevention:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a device's general location
- product interactions such as app launches, taps, ad impressions and video views
- diagnostic information about the app and advertising SDK
- device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID where available
Google states that this data is encrypted in transit. Sidequest MG marks every request for teen age treatment, which disables personalized ads and remarketing and applies Google's teen ad-serving protections. It also limits ad content to Google's T rating or below and disables the SDK's publisher first-party ID. These settings do not mean that the advertising SDK processes no data.
Google's User Messaging Platform checks whether a privacy message or a privacy-options entry point is required in your region. Where shown, you can make or revisit the choices offered in that message. Ads are requested only when the platform reports that they may be requested.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it only to respond, restrict access to the mailbox, and retain correspondence only as long as needed for the request or applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete that correspondence using the contact address below.
We do not sell information that you send directly to us. We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, files or precise location.
What the game saves on your device
So that your progress and settings survive closing the game, Sidequest MG stores a small number of values in your device's standard app-settings storage. The game does not upload these gameplay values. The consent SDK may also store your privacy-message state on the device. Device backups, restores and transfers may preserve or copy app data according to your operating system and account settings.
| Stored value | What it holds |
|---|---|
| BloomBarrageHighScore | Your best score in Bloom Barrage |
| RascalRoundupHighScore | Your best score in Rascal Roundup |
| BurrowBashHighScore | Your best score in Burrow Bash |
| NightglideHighScore | Your best score in Nightglide |
| CanyonCruiserHighScore | An older score, carried over when Canyon Cruiser was renamed Nightglide |
| RetroMG.MasterVolume | Your master volume setting |
| RetroMG.MusicVolume | Your music volume setting |
| RetroMG.SfxVolume | Your sound-effects volume setting |
| RetroMG.Fullscreen | Your display preference (used on desktop only) |
| SidequestMG.Language | Your selected language code |
| RetroMG.Haptics | Whether touch feedback may vibrate your device |
These gameplay values are scores, numeric settings, on/off preferences, or a language code. None of them is sent with an ad request by Sidequest MG.
Deleting or controlling your data
Use Options → Reset Personal Bests to delete saved high scores, including the legacy Canyon Cruiser score. This does not reset volume, display, haptics, language or consent settings. Clearing the app's storage in Android or iOS settings removes its local data and privacy-message state; uninstalling normally removes local installation data, although device backups may retain or restore it.
When required, Options → Privacy Choices lets you reopen Google's privacy options. Android's Privacy → Ads controls also let you reset or delete the device advertising ID. Google controls data processed by its advertising services under its own retention and deletion rules. For deletion of support email, contact us below.
Permissions and network access
Sidequest MG does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, files or precise location.
The Android build declares these permissions without showing a runtime approval prompt:
VIBRATE— used for short touch-feedback pulses while you play; this can be disabled in the game's settingsINTERNET— used by Google Mobile Ads and the consent platform to request privacy messages and adsAD_ID— may be added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK so the Android advertising identifier can be used where available and permitted
The four games and local scores remain usable without a connection. Privacy messages and ads are simply unavailable while offline.
Age
Sidequest MG is intended for teens and adults aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. Every ad request currently receives Google's teen age treatment, including disabled personalized advertising and remarketing plus teen ad-serving protections. The store age and target-audience declarations must continue to match this audience.
If a child sends personal information to our support address, a parent or guardian can contact us to request deletion of that correspondence.
Third-party services
Sidequest MG uses Google Mobile Ads to provide interstitial ads and Google's User Messaging Platform to present required privacy messages. We receive aggregate advertising reports rather than your local scores or settings. Google determines its own processing and retention under its policies. The app stores may process download and account information under their own policies.
This policy website is hosted by Netlify, which may process ordinary connection information such as IP address and request logs to deliver the page. The page itself contains no advertising, analytics, external fonts or tracking scripts.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy before a released version introduces a materially different data practice, such as online leaderboards, another advertising provider or analytics. The effective date at the top will change when the policy changes.
